This landscape is boring The Windbreak The Blackness Below Why are there no animals around Other side of the Windbreak Grassland isnt being grazed Wolf Head Point There is a stench Where we lost hope Where we lost Judy Where we lost John Where we lost Little Milton The Abandoned Lincoln Homestead The natives told us not to settle here Its not as if we believe in that kind of nonsense Some call it Prairie Dooms The animals seem to congregate here The noises begin at dusk Its probably the wind I swore I saw something The air is dense and cold The birds shreek overhead The Bellows from Below The soil is like soot Not even a weed is attached to the land An old dugout in the hillside The earth moans The sky is black like death Slim chance of survival Its not as if you werent warned about this place In need of a respite but none in sight The Cottonwoods seeds fall like tears Another unknown marking in the tree Its good to see animals again The stories about this place are just myths The grass is trampled down here Sweet shade Sulfur in the air Evil lurks nearby I feel as if I am being watched The Southwest Entrance Maybe I wont be noticed here Idyllic and Evil are a strance combination The Needle The footprints here are certainly different The waters of this creek chill me to the bone The ground feels like it is grabbing hold of me Why didnt I listen to the warnings I musnt stay here How did a boat get down here Dear God what was that noise Fire is a good sign isnt it Dare I go further My stomach is in knots How many people have seen this place I see movement underneath the surface of the water Is this where all the others ended up The dampness pulls on me like a rainsoaked cloak I see some light from above I have nothing to lose My soul is uneasy This stalagmite has scrape marks on it Something rotten is decaying in this corner The climb up or the fall down My ears crave for some noise as the silence is more frightening I remember my knife in my boot and brandish it This flame provides light but no warmth Why did this happen to me I begin to think of how I might die Despite my reservations I push forward If I survive I will have such a story to tell I gather some stones to use as weapons I wish I knew what was on the other side of this ladder My boots slip underneath my feet Nothing I have done could have prepared me for this I pray fervently that I might be protected I wonder how many others have been trapped here The low rumbling sound ahead of me thickens my blood Another cave entrance I see I use this flame to make a torch out of my shirt The rumbling ahead increases in volume as does my heart beat There is a strange energy in this space I wonder how much further this goes Dear God I hope that isnt what I think it is My knees quake Who or what could have done this They were shackled to this wall for over a month Is this my fate as well The dark somehow becomes darker I discover a small piece of jewelery Get me away from those bones Maybe this will lead to the exit Before I go up I need to search over there Alas there are more scratch marks on the walls If only walls could talk these would probably scream Yet another clue of some sort I peek around the rocks The frayed ropes indicate something was tied here I can use this rock to get over there My torch is growing dim as is my spirit I see something on the far wall What does CROATOAN mean There doesnt seem to be anything else written here Looking back I cant believe I have come so far The cliffs above look menacing I must watch my foot placement here A sour smell is now evident I swear I see a face in the flames The unstable rocks hang above me Some odorous smell is emanating from the floor here I hope the end of my journey is near A large outline of some creature is visible Perhaps this ladder will get me home The anticipation and fear is aging me Well worn spot suggested the prisoner was viewed here A ladder to freedom or death The breadth of this place is both magnificent and frightening Has goodness and light ever seen this place A slippery slope indeed This place is no myth Is that a skeleton down there This is the Devils chimney

requested. At that point, they will accept or deny the pause request. Once all players have
accepted the pause request, the timer for this game will be stopped.

A game can be paused for a maximum of 1 month, after which the timer will be resumed.
Resuming the game follows the same procedure as above. Anyone can request to resume the timers,
all active players must agree to resume the game.
  • Players can still take turns when a game is paused.
  • Players will not be skipped or borgified when a game is paused.
  • Requests for pausing and resuming are anonymous to the other players.
